Marie-Anne Schouten obtained her J.D. Law degree from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam.
Practice
Marie-Anne started her career as an account manager with an international Investment
Bank in Amsterdam.
Before joining the Amsterdam Bar in 1986, Marie-Anne Schouten worked as a researcher at
the Vrije Universiteit, where she did an international research project on Comperative
Law governing foundations.
Marie-Anne's practice includes Corporate Law, IP Law and Labour Law. She speaks Dutch, English and
French fluently and has published widely on various legal subjects such as Product Liability,
Selective Distribution of PC's and EU Competition Law.

Marie-Anne has participated as speaker and delegate in many international conferences of
associations including the IBA, the US Computer Law Association, the World Computer Law
Congress and the International Federation of Computer Law Associations.
